About the Blog

Oh hai. Do you like food? I do. I like it so much I decided to write about it. I also watch shows about food. I decided to write about them too. This is a place to collect some of my random thoughts as well, and I wanted to start writing a blog so… I hope you enjoy flitting through my blog. Please leave comments, I love to talk to people about food (particularly cheese!) and films and music, and I’ll have a gander at your blog as well.

My name is Chris, and these are my reviews.

  1. “particularly cheese!” – haha nice blog Riley! Thanks for stopping by my blog today πŸ™‚ Taking about cheese… you should visit Holland some day… we’ve got THE BEST cheeses around πŸ˜‰

      • North of France, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Rheinland, skirt back up through France and home again! That could work! If I do it I’ll be asking for advice on the best cheese shops and markets!

      • Sounds like a plan to me πŸ˜‰

I’ll be happy to give you some advice! Even though I hardly ever go anywhere else other than this cute little shop in my hometown. We happen to have the Netherlands’ best cheese shop in town πŸ˜‰ All the famous (Dutch) restaurants get their cheeses from us, it’s kinda cool!

When where you in Holland before?

      • ‘Cause where are you from?… I read you’re currently in London (so cool!) … but normally, where do you live? Sorry if you’ve already covered that in other blog-posts etc… πŸ˜‰ I only read your most recent post + about πŸ˜‰

      • No no, that’s cool. I haven’t spoken about it for a while, you have to go a looooong way back! I’m from Kent, where there’s plenty of cheese, but not many specialist cheese shops! I’m commuting in to London, which only takes about an hour, and we regularly go on driving holidays to France, Italy etc. I’ve grown up eating European cheese!

      • I have a friend who lives in West Sussex and an aunt who lives an hour away from London but I can’t think of the name. I’ve been to England only once.. I’d love to visit again some time. I did like it a lot! My parents used to go often before I was born.
So you work in London or do you go there to study?..
(and I know, I can be quite a curious / nosy kinda girl ;))

      • Not nosey at all! I studied in Reading, which is about half an hour west of London. I’m living at home and working in the centre of London (right next to the Thames, and 2 minutes from Trafalgar Square!).
It’s a great country. A bit maligned in the media, perhaps, but there’s a real buzz about the place this year. First the jubilee, now the Olympics…

I loved our visit to Holland, too. We have some family friends in Amsterdam, and one of my friends is about to study there too, so maybe I can incorporate that in to my trip!

  2. I nominated your blog for “Capture the Color” as I think it would be cool to see all the colors represented by your amazing food photo blogs.. keep it up.. remember to do your beer and wine blog.. I’m still waiting.

      • Looking forward to it.. I drank a lot of beer in high school but have not been a fan of it again until recently.. now I’m somewhat of a beer snob even in my ability to really know much about it.

  3. Liking your style. Your blog makes interesting reading from the few random posts I looked at, but I will be back!

  4. Thanks for liking one of my posts! πŸ™‚ You really love your food! Hehe. I love food too! In fact I loved it soo much that I became a cook…still working on becoming a Chef. Food is my life! I do have a food blog too that you might like. cookalabella.wordpress.com

Btw, I must say, your writing is very interesting and you seem like a fun person to be around! Keep on eating! hahaha
